- The document is a letter from a student named Paula Garro to Mrs. Silvia Castro thanking her for her speech on intelligent learning environments from a neuroscience perspective.
- Paula found the speech interesting for its psychological approach and how neuroscience and educational psychology were discussed.
- For her educational psychology course project, Paula is focusing on two aspects from the speech: that students learn best by doing, and learning is most effective when it is meaningful, varied, practical and situated.
- Paula asks if Mrs. Castro would provide her opinion and tips to improve their project method, which aims to promote learning through doing.

Task: After attending the speech "Ambientes de Aprendizaje Inteligentes:
recomedaciónes desde la Neurociencia" by Mrs Silvia Castro during
INNOVATION WEEK: Ambientes Inteligentes, write a letter to her on what you
learned at the activity. Wednesday, June 3, 2010.
Mrs. Silvia Castro
My name is Paula Garro, I am a student of psychology. On Wednesday May 26th I was honored to attend the
speech held in the auditorium of the University "Intelligent learning environments: Recommendations from
neuroscience" given by you. Let me congratulate you on your work.
Personally, the speech was interesting to me for his psychological approach. Neuroscience and educational
psychology are so far two approaches that I draw little attention.
For my educational psychology course I am doing a project with a partner, in which we're focusing on two
aspects that you gave great importance during the speech, "The student learns best by doing" as well as
"learning to be meaningful, varied, practical and situated."
I firmly believe in the plasticity of the brain and the ability humans have to improve learning processes.
It would be an honor to progress our project, you can give us your opinion and maybe some tips for
improvement. The project is a method that promotes the art of learning by doing.
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best Regards
Paula Garro R.
